Annapurna Basecamp Trekking

Annapurna Base CampAnnapurna Region is a magnet for trekkers because of its natural beauty, biogeographical zones with flora and fauna. It has Annapurna I highest mountain. Normally, lush deciduous forests with Fir, pine and Juniper found in upper slopes of the mountain.Wildlife are widespread in the corner part of it . Langur Monkey, Jungle cats, wild boar, black bear, musk deer, long-haired tahr( Mountain goat) , Bharal ( Blue sheep) and snow leopard are inhabitats in Annapurna area. 440 birds species are recorded. Seven ethnic groups live side by side wearing distinctive dress, revering different deities and speaking own languages.Brahmans,Chhetris,Newars and occupational caste( Kami( bLacksmiths), Damais ( tailors), Sarkis( Shoemakers), are settle in low land and Tibetans including Gurungs, Magars and Thakalis

Annapurna Base Camp trekking is started from Nayapul.It passes through Birethati to reach Tirkhedhunga. You can see the Magar village and trekkers may experience culture of that location.Next day they reach Ghorepani can see the Annapurna south, fish tail mountain. Next moring group treks towards pun hill and view Dhaulagiri I –V, Dhampus peak , Tukuche peak, Nilgiri peak, Hiuchuli peak and Annapurna South, Fishtail etc. Next day proceed towards Tadapani, Chomorong. You can experience Gurung culture in Gurung village in Chomorong. Steps forward to Himalaya then Machhapuchure Base camp ( 3700m) and Annapurna Base camp(4130 m) and back to the Pokhara Via Chomorung, Pathana .
